{the meltons}

Lots of fun firsts this beautiful saturday:

*First time I've slept in - in a very long time. I really don't like sleeping in. It makes days seem shorter and less productive, but every couple saturdays is okay, I suppose
*First shoot I've ever done with TWIN baby boys!
*Also, this is the first time i've had absolutely no idea who I was going to be taking pictures for. Jami and I were on a strictly name/email basis. So I've been anticipating this meeting for several weeks. Typically when this happens, I will pop open my facebook and do a handy dandy search... this time though, I was unsuccessful. Lucky for me, John & Jami were easy to spot -- two adorable babies will do that for you :)

John is a big baseball fan - so they asked if we could take pictures at a baseball field. SOOOO glad all of the little league games haven't started up yet. It worked out perfectly :)

Meet John & Jami and the blue-eyed boys in their lives -- Max & Jackson. I cannot tell you which is which in these pictures. I tried so hard to keep track...

Okay, just take a gander at this boys beautiful eyes! Agggghhhh. I melt. I think this is Max?

John & Jami did so great with their babies. They were starting to get tired & - dare I say it? A little fussy from being out in the sun. Who can blame them, though? This heat - as glorious as it is, has been wearing me out, too! Little sweetie on the left is asleep in daddy's arms...

Thus ends a beautiful Saturday afternoon :)

{wesley is a senior}

i'm really loving taking senior pictures this year -- i think i've said that already, but i love seeing all these awesome young guys (i say guys, because i haven't taken any girls pictures yet) graduating from high school and they're great young men. our future leaders. its so encouraging to see the people god is raising up - these senior guys, and people like my husband :)

wesley and his dad, steve, met me in north davidson to take his pictures yesterday morning. wesley is a musician, too, so he brought his guitar with him. I love being able to incorporate elements like that into peoples pictures.

thanks for the honor of taking your pictures, wesley! you were such a trooper :)

{bring on the seniors, please}

i have a few senior's i'm taking pictures for - which is SO exciting for me. I just remember that time of life so well. its like the whole world of opportunities and decisions opened up before me - maybe thats exaggerating? maybe not. but regardless, its a fun time in life.

yesterday i drove to harrisburg - which is lovely and more small town feeling than my side of charlotte tends to be, to take pictures of eric. such a good sport.

here's a few of my favorites:

Can you all believe how quickly this year is going by so far???

{Ben+Bethany = Love}

& marriage.

This past sprinkly sunday, I had the opportunity to take pictures for these two super adorables :)
Bethany wanted to take pictures in Concord at the Theater where her and Ben first met when they were in Anne of Green Gables together -- almost four years ago. And look at them now!

First engagement shoot -- in my opinion, a success.
Thanks you two - for letting me take pictures of your lovely selves! It was an honor :)

the bentons.

FINALLY! new pictures to put up.
and new friends made. i hadn't met mary prior to her coming up to me in church and asking me to take pictures of her sweet baby james a few weeks ago, and I'm so glad she did! They were so much fun to talk pictures of! AND i think they like scrabble even more than daniel and i. Amazing.

Dustin and Mary had some ideas for pictures, too. Which I always like :) There were seriously so many wonderful pictures of them, i picked just a random few to post here.

So without further delay, the bentons:
